Our story
Welcome to Quaidnce
A place for thoughtful gifting, built around real-life moments.
Each hamper is designed to help you send something thoughtful, practical, and genuinely meaningful.
Our values
-
Considered
We believe a gift should feel thoughtful, not excessive. Too often, gifting becomes about quantity rather than intention, filled with items that look good but don’t serve a real purpose.
Each hamper is carefully curated with items that are practical, meaningful, and chosen for a reason. Nothing is added just to fill space. Every detail is there to support, comfort, or bring a small sense of ease.
-
Moments
Not every meaningful moment fits neatly into a calendar. Some of the most important times are the quieter ones, starting over, adjusting to change, feeling unwell, or simply needing to feel thought of.
Each hamper reflects real-life situations, shaped by experience and understanding that support doesn’t always come in big gestures. Sometimes it’s something small, timely, and genuinely useful that makes the difference.
-
Simplicity
Showing up for someone should feel easy, even when life isn’t. If you’re short on time, unsure what to send, or simply not able to be there in person, the process should never feel complicated.
From choosing a hamper to delivery, everything is designed to be straightforward and reliable. No unnecessary steps, no overthinking, just a clear way to send something that feels right. This way you can focus on the gesture.
Our Story
It started with distance
This all began during a long-distance relationship with my now husband. Being oceans apart, it was difficult to show up for him in the ways I wanted to. When he moved to a new country and began rebuilding his life from scratch, there were moments that felt big and uncertain.
We spoke every day, and while I could offer words of support, I often felt that it wasn’t enough. I wanted to be able to send something that felt thoughtful and genuinely useful. Something that said more than words could.
But when those moments came, a new job, milestones, even the days when he wasn’t feeling his best, I struggled to find anything that felt right. Most options felt either too generic. As someone who naturally shows care through giving, this stayed with me.
A different perspective
Not long after, I spent time volunteering with a charity supporting people who didn’t have close family or regular support around them. Through that, I met people experiencing a kind of loneliness I hadn’t fully understood before.
I remember one Christmas, when we gave out small gifts. One of the people I had come to know there shared how he had lost his wife to cancer. He spoke about a tradition they had, exchanging small gifts when they had spent time apart during their working years. It was something they both quietly looked forward to. That day, I saw how much a simple gesture could mean.
Where it led
After 4 years of long distance, my husband and I were finally able to reunite and start a life together in England. What once felt far away became everyday life. But my experiences never left me.
I wanted to create something that made it easier for people to show up for each other. Not just on the obvious occasions, but in the smaller, often overlooked moments too.
So I started speaking to people. Asking what gifting meant to them, what they found difficult, and which moments they felt often went unacknowledged.
Those conversations shaped everything.
Building something considered
What followed was a mix of research, trial and error, and a lot of learning along the way.
Travelling across the UK, speaking with suppliers, testing different combinations, refining what felt useful and what didn’t. All while turning it into something that could actually work. Eventually, it became what it is now.
What this is about
This isn’t about sending more things. It’s about making it easier to show up for someone in a way that feels considered, practical, and genuine.
Whether it’s a new beginning, a difficult moment, or simply wanting someone to know they’re thought of, each box is designed to carry that meaning.
So what is Quaidnce?
It’s just a simple way to show up, even when you can’t be there in person.
